Lifeboat Drill
Although travel by ship remains one of the safest means of transportation, it is important that all passengers attend the lifeboat drill (in fact it is mandatory to comply with the requirements of the Safety of Life at Sea Convention). This drill will be held within 24 hours of leaving the embarkation port.
Passengers should make sure that they know their boat station or assembly point and how to get to it in the event of an emergency. They should also note their exit and escape pathways and learn how to put on their lifejacket correctly.
